• Harishchandra Ghat is a place, where regular cremations of dad bodies occur at frequent intervals throughout the day. According to myth, this was the place where King Harishchandra had to work as a slave after being bought.

• Even the Manikarnika Ghat, keeps up with the previous one in the matter of cremation. Moreover by its side, there are several dharmashalas and old homes, where the elderly stay to spend the remaining half of their lives.
